How did you first learn about the law of attraction or co-creation?

I found a book in a used book store in college--back in 1983 maybe--called "Helping Yourself With PsychoSymbology", I think. I experimented with the symbols and got quite good at manifesting little things, and I guess I freaked myself out, because I got "out of synch" with the universal mind for quite some time after that. During that first period of time, I also read "The Lazy Man's Guide to Enlightenment." I can't remember exactly what put me off, but a friend talking to me about Reiki got me back into my spirituality maybe 3 or 4 years ago. Wow, I had missed it! Namaste. Joani

I first learned about it a few years ago when I saw The Secret. I was very resistant to even watching the film because it seemed like a fad (everyone was always talking about it), but a friend let me borrow the DVD and I finally decide to sit down and watch it. Since then, I am still in the process of discovering LOA, like attracts like and so on. I know these are not new concepts, but its new to me.
